Looking Back GE14

This year has been a very auspicious year for many Malaysians as the political landscape of the country change drastically after the last GE14. Prior to May 9th and the eve of May 10th, never in the minds of many Malaysians though thought it could happened, regardless of which political divide you sided. But the intensity of the night of May 9th kept many Malaysians awake until the wee hours of May 10th.

Malaysians tuned in to the local channels switching back and forth trying to get the best coverage of the election results, but the situation remains stagnant as the EC reluctant to announce the majority winners. Results came so slow that many sat restlessly on the couch waiting for that unbelievable moment, the moment that many Malaysians couldn’t believed it happened in their lifetime.

Clearly though, that very day of May 10th is a very historical day in the history of modern Malaysia. Although it was clearly shown that the Pakatan Harapan won the election, unlike any other election though, it was not until the late hours of May 10th that the 7th Prime Minister of Malaysia sworn in before His Majesty, the King of Malaysia.

Concerned Malaysians were so wary about the whole situation thinking there could be foul play taking place. Before the sworn, the road to the palace were all occupied by supporters and sympathizers of the newly elected government and the newly sworn Prime Minister. Thousands flooded the area until Tun Mahathir sworn in. I couldn’t wait much longer and headed home and planted myself in front of the TV screen.

It was the talk of the town. Everywhere regardless. On one side, the spirits were high and positive. On the other side however, the mood undeniably low, especially the fixed deposit state of Sarawak. It was not in their minds that the Barisan National government could have lost the GE14, well, at least in the minds of hardcore BN supporters and state legislators.

But as the results came nearer and nearer, many party leaders fell from their seats as they watched the results slowly unfold. It was like a slow death in the case of three PRS seats of Selangau, Lubok Antu, Julau and one PDP of Saratok. Things were not favorable to the ruling parties from the beginning until the end. Party candidacy nominations crisis primarily led to their vainly choices of candidacies. The people were voicing their thoughts those nominations but party leaders insisted their way of “Jangan Lawan Tokey” or the highway.

It was expected. From the beginning until the end many anticipated that BN will lose in Selangau and Lubok Antu. Saratok was seen to be an easy win for PKR, but many have mixed feeling about Julau. I for one, knowing the tactic the flamboyant Sng would use, knew from the beginning that the “Tapang Tuai” of Julau will fall to the opposition.

As all eyes were all on these four seats, many did not see it coming from the Peak of Borneo, Puncak Borneo. Only after the short video clip of the PKR candidate purportedly caught the election officers did some dirty tricks that many started to turn their attention on Puncak Borneo. And after midway through the election, he made another bold short video clip literally announcing that he is winning the race despite few more uncounted semi urban polling districts. This guy knew what he was talking about and a very noble man indeed.

The urban areas, as expected, were all wiped out. The Battle of the titans between the two party chiefs was highly watched but many knew that the “Dare Devil” Chong, who left his Bandar Kuching comfortable seat to face against the “Mighty Doc” SUPP President, would win big. The central region made a little surprise though as the oppositions won with huge majority. The northern region however, made its own unwavering winning big majority, unlike what have been speculated.

On the other hand, despite a humiliating defeat in Puncak Borneo, the BN PBB made a clean sweep gaining bigger majority. The Governor’s youngest daughter easily made her debut in Mukah against a veteran PKR candidate. The newly appointed state BN Secretary General managed to secure a bigger majority in Kapit against the young Knight of Katibas, while PBB maintained a strong family dynasty presence in Betong.

But what surprised many was Sabah. Many thought it would be a clean sweep by Warisan but unfortunately there were struggle towards the end of the election. The drama that unfold in the appointment of Sabah Chief Minister led to the fled of it previous CM. Many new faces took the oath to serve the people of Sabah. Unfortunately, the one and only Sabah sweetheart, Jo-Anna Sue Henley Rampas did not make it to the state assembly. But Warisan could have made a clean sweep should there were straight fights. Many seats won by BN had a marginal majority.

Thus, the last GE14 was a historical elections. People mobbed the polling stations voicing out their freedom to vote, and exercising their democratic rights. As of the night of the 9th, Najib's team has been prepared for the victorious night. But unexpectedly thing came not as expected. Workers were instructed to dismantle the canopies and to abandoned the victorous gathering by Najib's camp, at his residence.

The last GE14 was an election no one ever forget, both the previous oppositions and the ruling government, BN. Kids as young as 5 years old will have a vivid memory of both sides of the stories, depending on which side their parents were supporting. Elderly as old as they can be may think they have experienced the most historical moment, and have had encountered experience of a life time, observing the unexpected.

Many however, thought it would be impossible for BN to lose the GE14. But many observed that the East wind is coming, people's tsunami will take place in the coming GE14. If one would have joined the rally or any political gathering, then they can concluded that a big change would happened.

I've been to several rallies, and also watched many rallies as shown or shared by friends in the social medias, and I can tell you my heart was pounding and I had goosebumps every time I watched one. It was a strong indication, and yet BN supporters and sympathizers denied and ignored what they saw.

From the North Borneo to the Land of the Hornbill, rallies were swamped by humongous crowds. From the Souther state of Johor to the Capital of Kuala Lumpur, thousands and thousands of crowd camped as the rally sites listening to their favorite speakers. The wind won't settled but raced up to the Perak, Langkawi and to the Pearl of the Orient, Penang. It was a very clear indication that the Pakatan will win the GE14.

On the other hand though, gathering or political rallies from the ruling government were empty. Empty regardless what they used to lure people to come. Free dinner, emptied; Free goodies, emptied; just couldn't do much to attract supporters either. Like what a friend said, they just can't do anything to avoid the attack. They knew it from the beginning that it was the beginning of the end of their dominance in modern politic.

Like what I have always wrote in any of my social media postings, the R.A.H.M.A.N. Prophecy was a cursed from GOD. The person who thought about that prophecy was a genius evil. Najib has completed his journey to end the prophecy. Thus, it was the beginning of the M.A.H.A.T.H.I.R. Prophecy, and it all started with the man who completed solving the R.A.H.M.A.N Prophecy, Tun Dr. Mahathir himself, the Legend and a political icon who deserves praise and gratitude, and should be nominated as a Nobel Prize winner.
