POST GE14 - Part 2

The New Malaysia Yes! The New Malaysia it is. New voters mindset and New Government. New PM7 and New set of Cabinet. But how new is the New Malaysia?  Will the PH government made a good governance? Of course it will. PH will be emphasizing on new good governance so that Malaysians will not worry about massive corruptions taking place under our naked eyes. Like the previous BN gomen, we were robbed in a bright day light. Literally robbed. Funds were missing here and there. It was like a gold rush whereby they, I mean those in power, rushed to pocket all they can. It was like a All You Can Eat style buffet. Eat even if you're full! Greed was never enough. Hundreds of millions if not billions went missing. Done mentioning that. Let's move on. Yes! The New Malaysians expect so much more from the New Malaysia. Simple reason kan! That was why we voted them out and voted you in so that you can do a much better job than the previous gomen. Sounds clear and precise...

Post GE14

Part 1 Yes! We are not talking about Pakatan Harapan winning the GE14 anymore! Those were the days. It's history. We all have to move forward and live with whatever has been chosen, be it good or bad, for you... 30 Days Mark It has been just a month that the new Pakatan government has taken over Putrajaya and I tell you what my friends, messages are rolling like no other businesses. Phone flooded with photos and video clips of all sorts, but majority were pro-government. I bet your mind is asking which government. Pakatan Harapan lah... People seek to look forward for the 100 Days Promises as pledged by the Pakatan Harapan during the GE14. And let me tell you what... with the messes left behind by the previous government, there's no way the new government can fulfill their pledges.  Firstly, the house needs to be clean. Massive general cleaning in progress. From 1MDB to the Education Ministry and to just anything under their supervision were left like war zones. I am t...

Sarawak Politics 101

Wind of Change Should SE12 di adakan sekarang, GPS akan kalah teruk. Ketua GPS pun ragux2 ketika membuat keputusan menyokong PN. Dakwa TSJJM mengatakan GPS lebih RELA bekerja serakan dengan PAS adalah tindakan childish. Dia bukan orang bodoh, a senior minister and a PHD holder as well. Being in politics for many decades, I don't think TSJJM is that stupid to not acknowledge the implications and repercussion of his statements. Should he said that during their BN era before, the implication maybe not as critical as today. When the country depends on one political bloc to so-called "save a democratically elected system" all eyes and ears were on GPS. And the statement that TSJJM made made headline and registered in everyone heads. GPS is slowly killing itself no matter how and what they do to repair the damage. Nothing against TSMY, the PM happened to win the fight with just little blow, below the belt, in which the referee failed to notice. He KOed it in the fi...

The Other Half of 2018

Image
The remaining half of 2018 is highly anticipated. The First 100 Days pledged by the new Pakatan government would be one of them. Thus, we will see several, if not many changes ahead. First and most importantly, the GST will not apply any longer effective June 1 st . This, however, will be replaced by the previous SST (Sales & Service Tax). That’s one good news. Secondly, many anticipated the abolished of tolls collections especially in West Malaysia. Tolls collections have been a pain in the pockets to Malaysians living in West Malaysia. This may be a great relieve to us but it will cost the government a massive amount. I see changes may come in the education sector. I really hope the new highly educated Minister of Education foresee these changes are needed to our already eroded education system. I would suggest a scrap on some of the exams, which took tolls on young students. Schools should be made a learning playground, where knowledge are shared. Allocations of tea...

Looking Back GE14

Image
This year has been a very auspicious year for many Malaysians as the political landscape of the country change drastically after the last GE14. Prior to May 9 th and the eve of May 10 th , never in the minds of many Malaysians though thought it could happened, regardless of which political divide you sided. But the intensity of the night of May 9 th kept many Malaysians awake until the wee hours of May 10 th . Malaysians tuned in to the local channels switching back and forth trying to get the best coverage of the election results, but the situation remains stagnant as the EC reluctant to announce the majority winners. Results came so slow that many sat restlessly on the couch waiting for that unbelievable moment, the moment that many Malaysians couldn’t believed it happened in their lifetime. Clearly though, that very day of May 10 th is a very historical day in the history of modern Malaysia. Although it was clearly shown that the Pakatan Harapan won the election, unlik...
